Breaded and fried meat: A Hungarian Classic

Rántott hús is one of the most popular dishes in Hungarian cuisine. It is made with boneless pork loin slices that are coated in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, and then fried in hot oil. Ingredients:

    4 boneless pork loin slices

    salt

    pepper

    flour

    egg

    breadcrumbs

    oil for frying

 

Instructions:

    Pound the pork slices thinly.

    Season both sides with salt and pepper.

    Coat the pork slices in flour, egg, and then breadcrumbs.

    Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the pork slices until golden brown.

    Drain on paper towels.

 

Tips:

    Rántott hús can be served with lemon, horseradish, mayonnaise, or tartar sauce to taste.

    You can serve it with mashed potatoes, rice, fried potatoes, salad, or pickles.
